The Vaughan Woods & Historic Homestead is an education center, recreation area and house museum in Hallowell, Maine. Built in 1794, it was home to Benjamin and Sarah Vaughan and six generations of their descendants. Operating as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization since 2002, today the Homestead and its grounds serve as a place of living history, a source of tranquility and inspiration, and a center for educational and community building programs.
