Free Canoe Day at the Royal River!, Yarmouth

As part of Great Maine Outdoor Weekend, Yarmouth Community Services and Royal River Conservation Land Trust are offering free use of the Town-owned canoes to residents to kick off Yarmouth’s participation in this annual Fall event.

Yarmouth Community services keeps 4 canoes for the public to sign out and rent. On Friday September 29, use of the boats will be free and there will be a staff member available on-the-launch-site all day to help get you into and onto the water. Paddles and PFDs are provided. Kids PFDs (50lbs+) are limited; kids are required to wear a life jacket anytime they are in a boat.

Date: Friday, September 29, 2017
Time: 10:00am – 2:00pm; last boat is launched at 2:00pm.
Location: Yarmouth History Center’s Royal River launch. Please park at Royal River Park, across the street.

Please wear weather-appropriate clothing, provide your own sun & bug protection.
