Constellation Walk at Holt Pond Preserve, Bridgton

February 8 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Free!

Join LEA educator, Alanna Doughty for a walk/ snowshoe out into the Holt Pond Preserve in Bridgton, Maine for an evening of star gazing and enjoying the brisk winter night. Winter is a fantastic time to learn your constellations because you can still go to bed at a reasonable hour! There is something about being out in the dark in the cold, contemplating the cosmos, knowing that soon enough we will find something warm to fill our bellies. What a way to kick off the 2019 Great Maine Outdoors Week! We will utilize H.A. Rey’s book, The Stars: A New Way to See Them, and enjoy some hot cocoa and tea out on our exploration. Kid and adult friendly, snowshoes recommended (if you need a pair let us know!) Please register with alanna@leamaine.org
