Apple Talk, Tasting, and Tour, Boothbay

September 30, 2018 @ 2:00 pm

Free

Join amateur orchardist, Ron Ross, for an engaging apple talk and heirloom apple tasting at Oak Point Farm on Sunday, September 30, at 2:00 pm. (Rain or shine under the big tent!)

This year’s apple talk “From Apple Juice to Apple Jack” focuses on the juice of this iconic fruit: Ron will explore the history and production of apple beverages, consider their nutritional and medicinal pros and cons, and share classic and nouvelle drink recipes such as mulled cider, the Appletini, and Jersey Lightning. Proof of age will be required for some beverages.

Tour the beautiful waterside trails of Oak Point Farm before or after the talk and tasting. Attendance and participation in the tasting are free, but to help us have enough chairs under the tent please pre-register by emailing BRLT at brlt@bbrlt.org or calling the office at 633-4818.
